Priminfo is the official premium comparison tool run by the Federal Office of Public Health, so it lists approved basic insurance premiums with no advertising and no product placement. You enter your address or postal code, the year of birth for each person, the deductible you want and whether you need accident cover, then compare what each fund charges across the standard, family-doctor, HMO and telemedicine models. Because it comes from a federal authority, it is the neutral reference most people check before deciding whether to switch funds.

The one drawback for newcomers is language. The site runs in German, French and Italian, with no English version, so plan to use a translator or run it alongside an English-language comparison tool when you are getting started.
