Swiss Moving Service

Swiss Moving Service is based in Schlieren near Zurich and has specialised in overseas removals since 2002. Its main approach uses shared groupage containers, so a customer pays for the volume they actually ship rather than a whole container. Regular groupage departures leave Switzerland for hubs that include New York and Los Angeles in the United States, Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, Bangkok, the main Australian cities and Cape Town and Johannesburg, with other destinations handled on request. The firm also prepares the customs documentation that an overseas move needs.

The company is owner-managed by two co-owners who are certified IAM moving specialists, and it works through international moving networks to reach partners in more than 150 countries. Each customer stays with a single coordinator from the first quote through to delivery.
