What Koray Umzug Does
Koray Umzug is a moving company based in Zurich that serves the German-speaking regions of Switzerland. The business operates as a full-service moving firm offering private relocations, office moves, international moves, and related transport and cleaning services. The company is headquartered at Stauffacherstrasse 96 in Zurich's 8004 postal district. Koray Umzug describes itself as an established moving company (Zügelunternehmen) that understands the specific logistics of the region, including tight delivery windows, lift bookings and building handovers.
Arriving with an International Move
For people relocating to Switzerland from abroad, Koray Umzug explicitly offers "international relocations" (Internationaler Umzug Zürich) as a core service. The site states that the firm handles planning and execution of moves across national borders, positioning international relocation as a key part of its business. The company emphasizes that it works with arrivals on a structured process from initial inquiry through final handover. For someone moving from another country, Koray Umzug offers what it calls a "complete worry-free package" (Rundum-Sorglos-Paket) that bundles transport, assembly, and additional services under one point of contact.
Services and How to Engage
The company offers private moves, office relocations, cleaning after the move, short and long-term furniture storage, furniture assembly and disassembly, clearance and disposal, piano transport, and specialist transport for sensitive items. The site emphasizes that it provides "transparent pricing and fair terms" (transparente Preise und faire Konditionen), though it does not publish rates on the website. Koray Umzug promises an unbound quote within 24 hours.
The firm's approach centers on understanding the specific logistics challenges of the region. Zurich and German-speaking Switzerland present particular moving complications: old buildings without elevators, tight building windows during moves, and specific handover protocols in apartment complexes. Koray Umzug states explicitly that it understands these constraints. The site describes how the firm combines logistics, materials and personnel strategically so that stress and idle time are minimized. This translates practically into clear processes and definite terms from the start.
The firm states it operates nationwide throughout German-speaking Switzerland (schweizweit), suggesting capability across cantonal boundaries even though it is Zurich-based. The company lists a response time of under 24 hours for inquiries and describes its service level as "full service." For private moves, the focus is on apartment changes handled efficiently. For office relocations, the firm emphasizes minimal downtime, which is critical for businesses that cannot afford to be offline during a move. Contact channels include phone, mail and WhatsApp. The phone number is +41 78 309 16 11, email is info@korayumzug.ch, and the address is Stauffacherstrasse 96, 8004 Zurich. The site states customer satisfaction as 100%, described as "commitment and transparent pricing." For people arriving in Zurich from abroad, the fact that Koray responds within 24 hours to online inquiries and does not require an in-person assessment before a quote suggests efficiency for remote coordination before arrival.
What the Site Does Not Specify
Koray Umzug does not publish pricing for any of its services, so a person relocating from abroad cannot determine costs before contacting the firm directly. The site does not specify response times for quotes or typical move timelines, nor does it detail how it handles customs for international relocations, even though it offers that service. Languages served are not explicitly stated, though the site operates in German and the company's name and all primary content are in German. The site does not itemize what is included in its "full service" package or explain the difference between various assembly and clearance options. For someone coordinating a move from abroad, this means the initial contact would need to be in German via phone, mail or WhatsApp, and pricing clarity would only come after the first interaction.
Practical Considerations for Arrivals
International relocations present specific challenges that Koray Umzug addresses differently than a local move. The site mentions that the firm handles both local and long-distance moves, but the depth of expertise in cross-border logistics versus regional moves within German-speaking Switzerland is not differentiated. For arrivals relocating to Switzerland from a foreign country, Koray emphasizes the ability to plan and execute moves across national borders, but the site contains no detail about customs procedures, required documentation, international shipping options (road versus container), or timelines for border crossing. These specifics would likely require a detailed conversation with the firm after first contact.
The company's speed (24-hour quotes, fast turnaround) is appealing for people who need to coordinate from a distance and want to move forward quickly. The emphasis on minimizing stress and clear processes from the start speaks to an understanding that moves are inherently complicated. For someone new to Switzerland, Koray's established presence, 100% customer satisfaction claim, and multiple contact channels suggest reliability and accessibility.
Who Koray Umzug Suits
Koray Umzug is well-suited for arrivals relocating to Zurich or other parts of German-speaking Switzerland who want a single point of contact for the entire move and are comfortable conducting initial negotiations in German. The firm's local expertise, emphasis on understanding building logistics, and nationwide reach across German-speaking regions makes it practical for people moving within Switzerland or from abroad into that region. The company's 24-hour quote turnaround and multiple contact channels (phone, mail, WhatsApp) appeal to people comfortable communicating in German. Arrivals from non-German-speaking countries may need to work around potential language barriers, as the site itself contains no English content. The site does not specify whether the company handles customs or international-move-specific documentation, which may require separate clarification. Those seeking transparent pricing before committing to a conversation would need to request a quote; the site intentionally does not list rates. Arrivals with substantial belongings, complex apartment logistics, or the need for end-to-end coordination are more likely to benefit from Koray's full-service approach than those with minimal goods or time to organize moves themselves.
